Passas Winery is a family business, which has been operating in Stavrochori of the prefecture of Xanthi, on the border with the prefecture of Drama, since 2016. On the slopes north of the valley of Nestos, at the foot of the Rhodope mountain range, and at an altitude of 110 - 130 meters, the vineyards of the "PASSAS" winery are spread out, thirsting from the waters of the source "Mavra Nera".
The first vineyards were planted in 2007, they are linear and extend over an area of 50 hectares. Initially, the cosmopolitan Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc varieties were cultivated and the Greek varieties Assyrtiko and Mavroudi. In 2017, the Vidiano variety was added. Experimentation in the cultivation of Greek varieties continues uninterrupted to this day, in order to test their effects on the soil and the microclimate of the region. Our aim is to highlight the potential of our region through the correct management of the terroir.
