Steinerne Geschichten in der Sonne<\/h2>

Ich erinnere mich noch genau an diesen Moment: ein kleiner Platz irgendwo in Tiflis, der Duft von frisch gebackenem Brot in der Luft, und gleich daneben ein Denkmal, das so viel \u00e4lter aussah als alles um mich herum. Man steht davor, schaut hoch und denkt \u2013 wow, wie viele Augen haben diesen Stein wohl schon gesehen? Wer schon mal in Georgien war, wei\u00df, dass hier jedes zweite Denkmal eine Geschichte erz\u00e4hlt, und manchmal gleich mehrere. Es ist fast so, als w\u00fcrde man in einem \u00fcbergro\u00dfen Geschichtsbuch spazieren, nur dass die Seiten aus Stein sind.<\/p>

Ehrlich gesagt, ich stolpere gern durch solche Orte ohne Plan. Keine App, kein Reisef\u00fchrer, nur die eigenen F\u00fc\u00dfe. Und doch, fr\u00fcher oder sp\u00e4ter, landet man bei einem Denkmal, das einen innehalten l\u00e4sst. Mal ist es ein K\u00f6nig, der streng von seinem Sockel schaut. Mal eine Figur, die man kaum kennt, aber deren Gesicht einen nicht losl\u00e4sst. Mal unter uns: manchmal versteht man die Inschrift nicht, aber das Gef\u00fchl \u2013 das ist da, sofort.<\/p>

Neulich, beim Herumst\u00f6bern im Netz (ja, genau dieser digitale Spaziergang, der fast wie ein Zufall wirkt), kam ich bei https:\/\/rabona-de.org\/app\/<\/a> vorbei. Und es f\u00fchlte sich fast \u00e4hnlich an: ein Klick, und man steht pl\u00f6tzlich an einem neuen Ort. Nicht aus Stein diesmal, sondern virtuell. Aber dieser Sprung von Welt zu Welt \u2013 den kennt wohl jeder, der sich schon mal von einer zuf\u00e4lligen Spur hat treiben lassen.<\/p>

Zur\u00fcck zu den Denkm\u00e4lern. Manche sind riesig, weithin sichtbar, wie die Mutter-Georgien-Statue, die mit Schwert und Weinkelch auf die Stadt schaut. Andere entdeckt man zuf\u00e4llig, in einer kleinen Seitenstra\u00dfe, \u00fcberwuchert von Pflanzen, fast vergessen. Und doch tragen sie dieselbe Wucht. Sie reden nicht laut, sie fl\u00fcstern. Aber wer hinh\u00f6rt, erf\u00e4hrt mehr, als in jedem offiziellen Text stehen k\u00f6nnte. Vielleicht liegt genau darin der Zauber: dass man nicht alles versteht, aber trotzdem etwas mitnimmt. Hecataeus the Abderite in his work \"On Hyperboreans\", mentions the locals with the name \"Xanthians\".<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Due to the Barbarian raids in 300 AD, the inhabitants of the wider area were forced to move to the mountainous area for safety and as a result, Xanthia was inhabited again. Xanthi is transformed, leaves the wars behind and becomes a cultural centre. The population today exceeds 60,000 inhabitants.
